We handle every phase based on your project’s unique requirements, reducing delays, minimizing costs, and maintaining the highest quality standards from beginning to end. All work is performed by our own skilled staff using company-owned equipment, giving us full control over scheduling, workmanship, and efficiency. As one of the few local companies in Middle TN that offers this type of service, we deliver precision results that are both faster and more consistent than traditional methods.

Let’s Build It Right, From the Ground Up

Clearing the Way

Demolition & Land Clearing

We begin with efficient demolition process and the removal of all requested trees and brush. Our crews sort concrete, brick, and block materials for direct transport to designated dump sites eliminating unnecessary dumpster costs. If you have a rough house box, we can move directly into house dig or pad preparation, skipping the delay of bringing excavation contractors back later.

Building a Strong Base

Excavation, Hauling & Foundation Preparation

During footing excavation, we arrange for our haul-off trucks to remove spoils from the site, keeping the area clear for block work. Once footings are installed, we smooth the foundation area, remove leftover spoils, and stage soil where needed for access. Stormwater systems in confined areas are roughed-in now to avoid disruption later.

Preparing for the Build

Aggregate Supply & Foundation Backfill

If your project includes slabs, we provide all necessary aggregate. After foundation and waterproofing are complete, we install gravel around the foundation, within porches and garages, and grade the site for the lumber drop. In deeper areas, we use surge stone, a cost-effective alternative to 3/4” gravel with a finish layer of 3/4” gravel. When necessary, a stone slinger shoots gravel into crawlspaces for precise placement.

Bringing Utilities Online

Utility Excavation & Site Preparation

Once framing and rough-ins are complete, we excavate all required utilities including electrical and plumbing. We then set sub-grades and rough in stormwater systems. Rain gardens are excavated to sub-grade and left unfilled until later. For Modified French Drain systems, we install and leave tails ready for future connection. Gravel is staged at A/C pad locations to minimize later handling by concrete crews.

Final Site Preparation

Stormwater, Grading & Access

With exterior finishes nearly complete, we finalize stormwater installations, install gutters and driveway culverts, and set the driveway sub-grade. Excess spoilage is removed, and topsoil is staged for landscaping. Retaining walls are typically installed now when heavy equipment is no longer needed, reducing the risk of damage.
Laying the Groundwork for Outdoor Spaces

Gravel Supply & Hardscaping

We supply the right gravel materials on time to keep construction moving, then transition into hardscaping to create durable and attractive outdoor features. This includes installing paver walkways and building retaining walls that provide both structural support and visual appeal, all crafted with proper bases, quality materials, and lasting finishes.

Bringing Your Landscape to Life

Landscaping, Irrigation & Finishing Touches

Once concrete and hardscaping are complete, we install efficient irrigation systems, prepare soil, and handle all landscaping to enhance your property’s curb appeal. This includes finish grading with harley raking, seed/straw application or sod installation, and thoughtful plant selection and design to ensure a healthy, beautiful, and lasting outdoor space.

The Final Polish

Punch List & Project Close-Out

Before your final punch list, we complete our internal review to ensure everything meets our standards and municipal requirements. We recommend combining your final punch list with the home inspection list to reduce extra trips. A Dropbox link with stormwater photographs is provided, and all pop-ups are flagged for inspection.

At Flautt Construction every stage, from the first bucket in the ground to the last inspection flag, is part of one coordinated, turnkey service package. With a single point of contact, you get efficiency, accountability, and a project delivered exactly as planned.
